You have to constantly open your big map (by pressing TAB) to check how to get to the destination as there are no gps-like directions on your mini map. I wish there were some helicopters to fly around - especially at the end of the game, when the number of zombies are overwhelming. Running (as there is no walking) or driving through hordes of zombies and killing them gets boring after some time (even though there are lots of tools you can use and combine to create something new). If I were to change anything about the game I would alter the way you have to go around the map. Though at first I didn't like the countdown to the bomb detonation which was going to destroy the whole city I completed the game with some of the side missions 1 day before "day zero". The other reason I liked the game was because it wasn't really scary - it was humorous - I could compare my overall feeling to the one I had watching Inglorious Bastards by Tarantino. Personally, I consider the story to be the most important part of most games (apart from racing games) and although Dead Rising 3 isn't original in story-telling it reminds me of GTA with its cut-scenes - I enjoyed them a lot. Perhaps it was because of the plot that I found captivating. Personally, I didn't really like Dead Rising 2, but this one absorbed me totally. There is what looks to be some sort of RPG-7 look-alike and a grenade launcher. Now, there are plenty of other firearms, or firearm-combo-type weapons, one of which being the Tactical Handgun, which is a Handgun with a Flashlight attached to it, not to mention various explosive weapons, but I'm going to let someone with more knowledge identify them.Īlockwood1 ( talk) 10:14, 25 December 2013 (EST) There's a sawed-off shotgun- looks like a double barrel, only it holds more than ten shots, though you do have to "reload" between every two shots. There's a crossbow, as well as a harpoon gun, not to mention something called a Lust Cannon- shoots both liquid nitrogen and napalm- zombies either get burned or frozen. There's an Assault Rifle- some M16 hybrid thing. Of course, some of the weapons are are somewhat unrealistic, and that sort of stuff.įirst up, there's your basic handgun from the first few games- the simi-automatic thing.
